The Free Methodist Church has no established work in Slovakia, but rather has partnered with the Slovak Brethren Church in Bratislava (Cirkev Bratská) by sharing the ministries of Josef and Lynette Sykora. In addition to serving as pastor at the church in Bratislava, Josef assists the Free Methodist Church with biblical and theological education throughout the continent. Lynette serves Free Methodist World Missions by helping with member care for the missionaries in Europe.
Pray for:
- Josef to have wisdom and inspiration as he works with teens and university students
- Josef as he disciples laypeople at the 400+ member church in Bratislava
- Josef as he has opportunities to teach Bible and theology in FM fellowships in Europe
- Lynettes ministry in the area of member care to FM missionaries in Europe
-Josef and Lynette to have opportunities to share their faith in their community
-Lynette to make progress with the Slovak language
- Simon and Luke as they grow, for their health and for their development in a third culture and language
- exciting new outreach opportunities for the university-age youth group as they host monthly discussions in a local tea house
